Numlock becomes disabled on first focus switch (#17422)

[ModEdit; related ticket: #17422: Switching away from guest alters NumLock state of host]
Maybe this should be under "Windows Hosts", not sure.

Version: 5.1.28
Extensions installed: No
Host: Win 7 Pro
Guest #1: Win Server 2013
Guest #2: KDE Neon User Edition (GNU/Linux)
Guest Additions installed; Yes

My Host boots with numlock "On". Both guests are configured to have numlock "On".

If I switch focus to the Windows Guest and back to the host - numlock remains "On".
If I switch focus to the GNU/Linux guest and back to the host - numlock on the Host becomes disabled.
Focus back to guest, numlock still enable there. back to Host, numlock is once again disabled.
If I then re-enable numlock on the host, it will remain enabled switching between the GNU/Linux guest and Host.

Any ideas on how I can prevent numlock from becoming disabled? It's incredibly irritating.

It sounds like you have an easily repeatable bug, personally I love those. So I'd say go ahead and post this on BugTracker.

This still happens on 5.2, so I'll go and log a defect.
Thanks!

You created ticket #17422, but as you already said in the ticket yourself, this is a duplicate of #14302.

I don't see those as duplicate tickets, though the devs may of course find a common root cause.

Ticket 14302 talks about saved states etc, it raises quesions about versioning... - i.e. a ticket that was made to be ignored.

Ticket 17422 takes about something ludicrously simple, i.e. a simple focus switch. That should be trivial for the devs to verify.

Yeah, you're right, I may have looked at the tickets too hastily.
Mea culpa...
