No vboxmanage in binary version 1.5.6

Post by punkybouy »

I am running Vbox version 1.5.6 and the non OSE version at that. When I tried to create a clone, vboxmanage clonevdi I got an error saying vboxmanage was not installed. Is this only available in the OSE version?

If I install the OSE version then what happens to my virtual machine with USB support?
Host is Ubuntu 7.10 and guest with guest additions installed is WinXP

Thanks in advance for your help.

You know that Linux is case sensative, right? So using 'vboxmanage' won't work, using 'VboxManage' on the other hand will.

What happens to your VM. Its easy, its then without USB.

Best would be to install the newest 1.64 PUEL Edition from VBOX Homepage. Forget OSE, if you want to USB and RDP Server.
