Hi,

since several days I cannot restore the virtual machine's saved state anymore. I just tried it again: closing the virtual machine and saving its state seems to work. Restarting it immediately after yields the following error:
After discarding the saved state, I can reopen the machine and work with it. The problem is reproducible. I already eliminated all traces of VirtualBox from my home directory (.VirtualBox) and created a completely new virtual machine keeping only the virtual hard disk (VDI). It did not help.

My setup:

• VirtualBox 1.6.4 x86_64
  Linux sauron 2.6.25.11-0.1-default #1 SMP 2008-07-13 20:48:28 +0200 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Any suggestions?

I have the same problem in OS X
From 2 or 3 weeks ago, I couldn't restore the machine state.

Unable to restore the virtual machine's saved state from '/Users/widomin/Library/VirtualBox/Machines/Snapshots/{6645ce04-619b-4435-1882-733f219e25ea}.sav'. It may be damaged or from an older version of VirtualBox. Please discard the saved state before starting the virtual machine.
VBox status code: -1825 (VERR_SSM_LOAD_CONFIG_MISMATCH).

Try to use "PCnet-PCI II" network adapter instead of "PCnet-FAST III" or use none.

I have never been able to restore the saved state of my TinyME guest OS.

This is on MS Vista [have to use it at work] with VirtualBox 2.1.4

I had the same problem and try everything but nothing work until yesterday. I disable the SATA controller and finally works.
