i have recently reinstalled Ubuntu 8.04, and since that, mouse is not catched in any VM....
i have a laptop also with 8.04 and in there VBox runs perfectly
can anyone help? i am testing ReactOS in VBox, but i am pretty sure it is not an ReactOS issue, because i am the only one who has this problem
thanks

Are you running the same GA edition and version as the VBox version in your Hardy host?

what do you mean with "GA"?
btw, it happens with both the virtualbox-ose bundled in hardy repository, and the package distributed by Sun

Sorry Guest Additions. You need these to get full windows and mouse functionality in the guest. See section 4 in the User Guide.

Have you tried reading the manual, or even just looking up Installing Guest Additions in it. That's why people right user guides: to guide the user through the activities that they need to do. Forums make a poor substitute for this.

hello,
theres no need to install GA, theoretically mouse is catched by simply clicking inside my VM, but it is not my case. It appears a confirmation screen (to capture or no), but after clicking on "yes, capture", mouse is not actually captured, thats my question........

Tick the checkbox to not show the message again and see if that works. There were some other users here with the same issue and this solved it for them. As I ticked it from the start, I never got this issue.
