no First Run Wizard - iso mount?

Post by Phyres »

As the subject line reads... my "first run wizard" is not running. People's replies seem to generally say "mount the iso from settings --> storage". That's easy enough to find "Storage", but how do I actually mount the new ISO? Please walk a n00b through this...

osX 10.11.6
iMac 2009
trying to run Windows 10 64-bit ISO

Select the drive in the left Storage panel, then use the right Storage panel to select the media to put in the drive (click the little CD icon to get the dropdown menu).

You only get the first run wizard if you accept all of the template defaults. If you go into settings and change anything you are assumed to know what you're doing, so no wizard.

You sound like a fairly new user to VirtualBox. Since you are expected to know some basic terms before we engage in a meaningful discussion, I would suggest to start by reading three small chapters from the User Manual:
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
