How to install VirtualBox-1.6.4-Linux_amd64.run?

I cannot work out how to install this package. It isn't deb or tar or whatever. If I double click I get an error msg. Please, how do I upgrade to this package?

BTW I am using Ubuntu 8.04

Ahhhh! I must have been having a blonde moment. I realize now I downloaded the Linux AMD64 version, instead of Ubuntu AMD64.
