Dear All,

I've Oracle R12.2.6 VM on Windows 10 PC. It was working fine and all of a sudden it started giving below error.

Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: MachineWrap
Interface: IMachine {b2547866-a0a1-4391-8b86-6952d82efaa0}

I tried going back to the older snapshot but still getting the same error.. Any leads than can help me in solving the error.. Really don't want to spend time on clean import and startup process. kindly help..

Please read really carefully the following FAQ: Diagnosing VirtualBox Hardening Issues.

In your case most probably it's the Symantec software. Uninstall it, or put an exception to not scan VirtualBox.

I don't have Symantec software on my pc. I have only Windows Defender. My PC OS is Windows 10 Professional Edition.

I am having a check on FAQ and confirm back.
