Windows10, printing with delay

Hello, I have installed on my Apple MacBookAir VirtualBox.
In the VirtualBox, Windows 10 Pro (Creators) and the corresponding guest package are installed. All components (Apple, Windows10 and also VirtualBox are in the current software version). The MacBook Air is over WLAN in a network of a FritzBox 7490 to which also over LAN a printer: Canon MX925 is connected.
Now my problem: An expression of Windows 10, via VirtuaBox, in the network on the Canon printer starts only after about 180 seconds. I have used a sample of Windows Texteditor with only the Word: "Test". The problem only occurs after using "creators". The VirtualBox and also Windows 10 Pro I have already reinstalled.
An installation of Windows 10 Pro (Creators) on another computer does not show the error. So it has something to do with the VirtualBox.
I ask for help, because of this problem several computers in the same constellation are concerned and it is very disturbing.

Have you tried to search for "windows 10 slow printing"? There are a lot of hits, which tells me that this is a problem in real systems as well.
But, if you believe that this is a VirtualBox issue, please post the output of the commands "ipconfig" from your Win10 guest, "ifconfig" from your OSX host, and the network configuration for your printer and how you connect to the printer.

Hello Socratis,
Thank you for dealing with my problem.
The following is the desired ipconf or networketting and a small overview of the configuration.
I think the problem is in the VirtualBox, because an installation of Windows10 (creators) on a computer without VirtualBox does not show the problem.
The problem has only occurred with the update of Windows10 1703 (Creators).
To the netview.
My MacBook Air is connected over WLAN to a Fritz box 7490, the printer over LAN.
All devices have a fixed IP.
If I send a print request from Windows 10, the network adapter and hard disk display flickers very long and intensively, before the print command arrives at the printer after approx. 180 seconds.
I would be glad if you have an idea about my problem.
Many thanks in advance.
HGT
PS: Excuse me my bad English. Since I can only German I must go to the Google-translator.

I see that you have selected NAT configuration for your Win10 guest. One thing you can try is to switch to Bridged mode and configure your Win10 guest to use the 192.168.178.### address scheme. Be aware that Bridged over WiFi may not always work. You'll know that it works if you actually get an IP address.
The other is that you did not tell me how you connect to the printer. Are you connecting directly to 192.168.178.24? Or are you using another method like SMB printing?

Hello Socratis,
I used the bridges mode earlier. But there were always problems and the issue of security has led me to NAT mode. I do not want to change this for security reasons.
It works so synonymous so far with NAT everything very well, only since the update on Windows10 Creators there is the problems with the delayed print.
The printer is connected via LAN 100Mbit / s to my Fritzbox 7490 with the fixed IP 192.168.178.24 (printer is not released in the network).
All users on the network have access to the printer.
My MacBook Air is integrated via WLAN in the FRITZBox 7490 network and has the fixed IP 192.168.178.33. From my MacBook Air, printing works perfectly.
Only if I print from the VirtualBox / Windows10, there are the delays.
The SMB entry I do not find. If you are so kind as to tell me where I can find this.

Could you show me how you connect to your printer from your guest? Any details you can find.

Hello Socratis,
can dumir please tell exactly what you want to know?
There are so many settings in the Windows network and with the printers, that this would surely break the frame.
Also, I have scruples to adjust hardcopies of the settings, because I would thereby make photo information of my systems public (topic: data protection).
I set up the printer normally using the procedure "Set up new printer" using the IP address.

In your guest, how do you connect to the printer. That's what I want to know. Did you see the printer in the neighborhood? Did you enter its IP manually? I'd like to see these details, not the Windows networking details, you've already included those.

Yes, the only one I wanted was the "2_Drucker-hinzufügen.gif" one. Can you do me a favor and switch from NAT to Bridged temporarily and try out the configuration? See if the problem exists if the guest is a participant in the same physical network as your other physical Win10 CU system?
PS. BTW, prefer PNG images instead of GIF.

@HGT - Please, can you do a simultaneous traffic capture with Wireshark (or plain tcpdump)
both in the guest and on the host? You may restrict captures to
. Start both captures, print something. When the document is printed, stop the captures. Thanks.

Hello Socratis,
after the change to "network bridge" the problem no longer occurs.
The printout on the printer takes place immediately.
When I think about it, I might be able to live with the solution.
Do you have a recommendation, what should I consider in the case of "security"?
LG HGT
