Can't assign CD interface

Running 5.0.40 under Ubuntu 16.04

I have a number of guests which I installed yesterday to test different distros. At that time I could assign the guest CD to read an iso file on my host hard disk. In some cases I subsequently installed the distro on the guest disk.

Today I am looking to restart some of these guests and install them to the guest disk, but I find that, when I click on the CD drive under storage, the window to the right where one chooses the nature of the CD drive (iso, host drive, etc) is not responsive. It is greyed out.

How do I make it responsive again, or shall I merely destroy the guest in question and try to create a new one?

Were/is the guest/s in a saved state or completely shut down? Saved state will disable many functions until the state is running again or guest/s are shut down.

That's it, Perryg. Thanks. I didn't notice that, and wouldn't have thought anything about it if I had.
