Hi,
Let me start by saying I'm pretty new when it comes to Virtualbox.
My end result is I'm looking to find a way to use SNMP to poll Open vSwitch.
Thought I read somewhere Virtualbox uses Open vSwiitch is this correct?
I've looked around and didn't see any option to poll Virtualbox and didn't find any mention of vSwitch either, but, like I said at the top, pretty new so it's possible it's somewhere and not configured?
Currently, my Virtualbox instance is on Windows. I could do Linux if that''s the way to get this going.
If it's doable - great, if not, at least I know and can look elsewhere....
Thanks in advance
Chris

Re: Looking for info on Virtualbox & Open vSwitch
The only announcement I have seen (from open vswitch) says that open vswitch supports VirtualBox. I have never seen anything to suggest that VirtualBox uses or supports open vswitch.

If you go to "C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\doc" there is the user manual in a PDF, meaning it's searchable. You can look for your vSwitch via search, or maybe there's a common interface between Virtualbox and vSwitch. Try section 6.9
