host interface over iwl4965 wireless

Post by shogun1234 »

Now I've successfully setup network with host interface enabled. But When trying to install an new os via opensuse (version 11.0) network cd, it return message like 'no repository found'. My questions is - does virtualbox host interface support network whose underlying NIS is wireless?

Env I use -
Host: opensuse version 11.0 (64bits)/ kernel 2.6.25-1.1-default
Guest: opensuse version 11.0 (32bits)

Virtualbox: 1.5.6 ose

Wireless: iwl4965 (it works on host system, but no idea whether it also works in virtualbox)

Thank you very much

Taken from the yet to be posted FAQ:
Q: I set up a bridge with my wireless adapter, but it doesn't work. My Guest does not get an IP address or access the internet when I manually set one.
A: Creating a bridge with a wireless network card does not work. This is because of the limitations of the bridge. Please use NAT for internet on the Guest system, or use Internet Connection Sharing to the virtual Interface without the use of a bridge.
This has been discussed several times too.
