Linux host USB is probably the easiest of all distros supported. There needs to be 3 things to achieve success.
  • 1) Matching extension pack installed.
    2) ( host requirement ) user name added to the vboxusers group followed with a logout and login or a reboot of the host to enable the new permission.
    3) You need to be using the official version of VirtualBox and the official version of the extension pack.
Note: the repo version of the extension pack does not have USB support because VirtualBox USB is closed source and you must use and accept the license for the official version.

Can you tell me how to do please?

for 1) Matching extension pack installed.
2) ( host requirement ) user name added to the vboxusers group followed with a logout and login or a reboot of the host to enable the new permission.

I have offical version of virtualbox

That's very important for me.

First you need to post the guests log file ( as an attachment ). Right click on the guest in the Main Manager then click show log. Save and post as an attachment. Compress if it is too large to post.

I installed extension pack and add virtualbox and add vboxusers
but not resolved. Maybe there is no wn722n driver. How to setup driver on manjaro?

You still need to provide the information requested. If you do not want to that is of course your choice but without that not much can be done to diagnose the issue.

In a host terminal run this:

Code: Select all

sudo usermod -aG vboxusers <your username>
Replace <your username> with the name you use to log in. Type your user password when prompted.

Be sure to log off and back in to finalize the change in permissions

OK so the guest sees the adapter. This now becomes an OS issue and for that you will need to contact the vendor. I suspect it might have something to do with the firmware or the adapter is not supported by the OS but that is something they will need to tell you.
