While booting a RHEL 7.3 VM the VM shows a black/blank screen with a progress bar at the bottom, and "Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.3" on the right.

My VM never progresses beyond this point, even when the progress is 100%. It started doing today. I am not able to get into single user or emergency/rescue mode, either.

I have the latest version of virtualbox and a Windows 10 host.

Follow a "start the VM from cold-boot" / "observe error" / "shutdown the VM" cycle. With the VM shut down completely (not paused or saved), right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager and select "Show Log". Save only the first "VBox.log", ZIP it and attach it to your response (see the "Upload attachment" tab below the reply form).
