Virtualization consultation needed
Virtualization consultation needed
I'm trying to run a virtual machine(emulator), on Windows server. I would like to hire someone here to help me do that, or consult me at least, drop me a PM if interested.

Re: Virtualization consultation needed
I split your post from the Virtualization inside a virtualizer, discussions, since it had nothing to do with that topic.
What problems exactly do you want addressed?

Re: Virtualization consultation needed
im trying to run MEMU(android emulator virtual box VM software), on dedicated server, and im having trouble with installing it, error persists of 'OpenGL version being too low' however, my videocard drivers are up to date 100%, and my video card supports OpenGl 2.0. Perhaps virtualbox doesn't support RDP, and needs to be started on local screen?

Re: Virtualization consultation needed
MEMU is a program that relies on VirtualBox but it's NOT VirtualBox. It modifies its configuration files (and not only that) in unknown ways to us. It is not supported on these VirtualBox user forums, they have their own support channels. If you are having this problem with a standalone version of VirtualBox, then we can continue this discussion.svaj wrote:im trying to run MEMU (android emulator virtual box VM software)
As for the graphics, remember that a virtual machine does NOT use your actual hardware, it uses virtual hardware.

Funny, on this page: http://www.memuplay.com/blog/index.php/ ... uirements/
Memu wrote:Note: It’s not recommended to run MEmu App Player in another virtual machine software because most of them doesn’t support OpenGL 2.0. What’s more, nested virtualization is not performance-oriented.

The bit I found odd about this was the host. Why would you run an Android game emulator on Windows Server?
