Wacom Bamboo tablet once again

Using Opensuse 11, VB 1.6.2 and a WinXP SP3 virtual machine, Windows reports that my Wacom Bamboo tablet is installed and that all components (mouse, pen etc.) are all working properly. Yet there is no response when I try to use the tablet. The virtual disk used to house the virtual machine is a clone of a disk created under Opensuse 10.2 in which the tablet works perfectly. The only difference between the two setups is a change in the host operating system.

Does anyone have any suggestions for making the tablet work under 11.0?
