BUG? Error on starting a virtual Machine on Linux Mint.

I'm attempting to build a virtual machine in VirtualBox 64bit version 5.1.22 r115126 (Qt5.5.1) (Downloaded straight from Oracle's website) on a Dell Latitude E6230 running Linux Mint 18.1 (serena) using Kernel: x86_64 Linux 4.4.0-79-generic, when I attempt to run the VM I get the following error: VirtualBox - Error In supR3HardenedMainInitRuntime
RTR3InitEx failed with rc=-1912 (rc=-1912)

The VirtualBox kernel modules do not match this version of VirtualBox. The installation of VirtualBox was apparently not successful. Executing

'/sbin/vboxconfig'

may correct this. Make sure that you do not mix the OSE version and the PUEL version of VirtualBox.

where: supR3HardenedMainInitRuntime what: 4 VERR_VM_DRIVER_VERSION_MISMATCH (-1912) - The installed support driver doesn't match the version of the user.

With these additional details...
Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Arch Lab Linux Virtual Machine.

The virtual machine 'Arch Lab Linux Virtual Machine' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1).

Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Component: MachineWrap
Interface: IMachine {b2547866-a0a1-4391-8b86-6952d82efaa0}

Can anyone point me in the right direction to correct this and get the thing running?
I attempted to do as it suggested and run: '/sbin/vboxconfig' (went fine with a sudo) but still getting the error.
Googling says something about mixing and matching 32 bit with 64 bit, but I'm using all 64 bit (VirtualBox, System, OS, and even VM).

It seems that you already had a previous VirtualBox installation which you did not uninstall/clear/purge/delete properly. Remove all traces of VirtualBox from your system and reinstall the official VirtualBox please.
