Help - Windows 8.1 virtual machine hangs on logo screen

I have booted Windows 8.1 from an 8 GB USB, using Plop Manager. The Virtual Machine runs, but stops and displays the loading screen indefinitely.
I am a complete newbie to this and am trying to get my head round everything
