What I want to achieve, is to use ALT+TAB to switch in and out of the guest system, without having to press the Host Key (right ctrl) each time to get out.
Basically have the Host OS capture the ALT+TAB even when inside the guest window.
Is that possible?
Thanks!
how to disable Alt+Tab in guest?

Hmm, assuming your host and quest both using some kind of Windows:
Either Alt-Tab is used to swith between apps inside VMs when keyboard is locked to it or outside Alt-Tab is used to switch between the apps in host.
Afaik there is no way to switch like that way you want, but in global settings of VB you can set the Host Key to some kind of Alt key, quite similar to Alt-Tab, if this suits better.

I'm using Linux (ubuntu) as the host, and XP as the guest.
I know XP is interested for the Alt+Tab, but I want to steal it from it.
Basically I run the XP only for IE7 and quick Alt+Tabbing speeds up my work.
Yeah - for now I've changed the Right-Ctrl to Left-Alt, so I kind of double-press Alt (second thime with Tab) to switch out.
Maybe in 2 days I will get used to it:)

Re: how to disable Alt+Tab in guest?
Hi,
I was in the situation as ypctx. I found the following, which solved this problem for me.
Solution:
VirtualBox: File -> Preferences -> Input -> uncheck "Auto Capture Keyboard"
(Btw I just picked a BugMeNot account for this reply. Why do I have to register if I just want to leave a reply?? Please Oracle, do not disable BugMeNot. I just love your policies and licenses and all, but don't make users' life harder.)
