Virtualbox 5.1.22 on Ubuntu Gnome with Wayland

I usually run VB full screen on a second monitor. Since upgrading to 17.04, I thought I'd give Wayland a run.
However, as soon as I use Host+F to go into full screen, VB moves the display back onto the primary monitor. Using Host+F a second time puts the window back onto monitor 2. Reverting to the non-Wayland log in cures the problem, so for now, I've switched back to my old X11 log in.
Not sure if this is a VB problem or Wayland-on-Ubuntu-Gnome issue - anyone else experience similar problems? Current releases of Fedora are now on Wayland exclusively, so may give a clue to the source of the problem if it works there.
