Hello,
I have installed CentOS7 on virtual box, host system is Win8.1. It runs but it does not recognize the screen. It shows only as "unknown display" and the resolution is very low 1024x768. How can I fix it? My graphic card is listed as "Intel HD Graphics" in Device manager on windows.
Thanks.

Re: CentOS7 display issue
Post the guests log file ( as an attachment ). Right click on the guest in the Main Manager then click show log. Save and post as an attachment. Compress if it is too large to post.
Also did you install the guest additions ( in the guest )?

Re: CentOS7 display issue
BTW, your virtual computer will display information about its virtual display and its virtual graphics card.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Re: CentOS7 display issue
According to the log file you have not installed the guest additions ( in the guest ) or it did not install properly. Try it again and post the log file again.

Re: CentOS7 display issue
Ok,
It was correct, guest additions are not properly installed, because I upgraded kernel version from 3.10 to 4.10 and tried to install guest additions on version 4.10. I installed it on version 3.10 and it worked.
Why guest additions are not installed properly on version 4.10 is a different issue.
Thanks.
