Dealing with spaces in the VM path
How does one deal with blank spaces in the file path of the VDI? The default directory is called "VirtualBox VMs". I get a bash error.

Re: Dealing with spaces in the VM path
- Do not hijack other threads. I split your post from Resizing issue which has absolutely nothing to do with your question.
- I fail to see the relationship between your question and VirtualBox. Have you searched for your problem online?
- Enclose the path in quotes. All of the path. Or use the escape character "\".
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Re: Dealing with spaces in the VM path
Thank you for the reply, socratis. I searched for resizing VDI because that is what I am trying to do. I encountered the bash error while trying to execute the command found here in thread called "How to resize a Virtual Drive".
No harm was intended. I am required to make at least one post before starting a new thread, so I chose to make it a relevant one to my problem.
I used the quote marks and it worked. Thank you!

Re: Dealing with spaces in the VM path
By the way, in the afore mentioned how-to thread there is something called an "Example" but it does not have an example file path at all. It should be revised perhaps.

No harm done. But you're not required to have at least one post before you open a new thread. There's nor such rule as far as I know...Isaiah Sellassie wrote:No harm was intended.
