Increase VDI size

Hi,

I have a host system that for me is very important.

I don't want to add a second virtual VDI but I want to increase the size of the actual VDI hard disk, that contains either OS and data.

I seen many tutorials but I am a little afraid to follow them.

Also, I don't want to lost my snapshot.

There is a safe way that I can obtain what I want?

This is almost impossible. In theory you would need to do the same command on each of your snapshots but this is problematic at best.

The safest way to achieve a working guest is to clone and merge all snapshots by selection to clone the current state and then adjust the clone virtual HDD to a size you want.

It depends on the host. Windows you use the command window and Linux, Solaris, or Mac you use the terminal.

As always be sure to do a backup first if this is important to you.
