virtualbox fullscreen on one of two monitors

Post by johngc »

I have an Nvidia 8800 running with two monitors using TwinView and Ubuntu 8.04 as my OS.

In the past (and with one monitor) I have used Compiz settings or devilspie to select where to have a virtualmachine start in full screen (ie on face two of my compiz cube).

With my current setup, I am pretty sure I can use devilspie to launch a virtualmachine on one monitor but I can't figure out how to do it full screen on just one monitor (full screen treats both monitors as one and so spreads over it all).

I guess I want to know if it is possible to launch a virtual machine with no borders etc. I can't find a shortcut if there is one.

The reason I dont set up my system with two separate X screens is that I like to be able to drag windows across from one to the other when I need more space.
