I uninstalled Guest Additions, obviously a mistake as now my Windows 7 guest stops booting at Starting Windows screen, how to fix? TIA.

Windows (or any other guest) should not stop booting if the Guest Additions (GAs) are not installed, or if they are uninstalled. Otherwise no guest could ever boot. So, there's something else going on.

Follow a "start from cold-boot"/"observe error"/"shutdown" cycle. With the VM shut down completely (not paused or saved), right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager and select "Show Log". Save only the first "VBox.log", ZIP it and attach it to your response (see the "Upload attachment" tab below the reply form).

Thank you, fixed the Guest Additions issue by going into Safe Mode and installing, but what started me looking at that in the first place was that I was messing with the screen resolution settings and somehow messed up my mouse pointer so it's offset, i.e., the point of the mouse is no longer where the action is taken, I have to move the mouse about 3 inches to the left of what I'm choosing to activate the choice, how to fix?

I was trying to change the resolution and chose the SHAPE Service iDisplay, then perhaps chose something else, can't remember, then the mouse was offset after that...

I don't even know what that means...

Besides the fact that you're using 4 out of 4 cores for your guest (i7-3740QM information), I can't see anything peculiar in your log. As far as the offset in your mouse, I wouldn't know where to begin. Maybe start at your guest's Display properties?

Yes, I guess 4-cores is overkill, I'll think about dialing it back.
