Your question and the logs do not quite agree. Please try the installation again with 5.1.18.

Before you do, we could save some time if you download the combo update for 10.12.3, reboot, re-apply 10.12.3 from the combo update, reboot again (as the update asks you to) and finally try to install 5.1.18. Repeat the installer log collection process.

Oh, and next time, please do not copy/paste the installer text. Instead ZIP and attach the zipped text file. You could save a (virtual) tree or two. And my eyes...

Thank you very much for your answer and for you advises to use the forum. I followed your instructions and installed the combo update. After the reboot I tried to install virtualbox again (and this time I use the 5.1.18 ) but the installer failed again. I attach to installer log to this post. Thank you for your help!

Same exact error at the same exact point. Something that is kind of rare and I still haven't been able to pinpoint its source.

• Were you able to ever install any VirtualBox version on that machine?
• Did you disable/turn off Automatic updates while you were installing the combo?
• Can you list all the non-Apple installed software, especially the ones that were using an installer? For example that could exclude apps like Gimp, LibreOffice, TextWrangler and all the drag the app to the Applications folder, but not things like Macports, Homebrew, X11, hardware drivers, etc.
• Can you post the output of the command:

  • kextstat | grep -v com.apple

Yes, every updated version the last few month.

- Did you disable/turn off Automatic updates while you were installing the combo?
Did not change any settings and I quess they are enabled currently.

1. Are you trying to make me go through an eye-exam? Do you believe that I can read the content of those images? Do you believe that anyone can read the content of those images? Without being an owl?
   Please, just post the output of "ls -a /Applications". It's ... searchable.
2. I don't have a good feeling about this:

   com.intel.kext.intelhaxm

   That tells me that you've installed the Intel Hardware Acceleration eXecution Manager. Are you running another virtualization product as well? An Android guest/emulator?

Your setup is as far as possible from what's called a "fresh install". I can't/won't/don't want to try and decipher what's wrong with your setup. I'm sorry, but it's too convoluted of a problem. From MacPorts to AndroidStudio to BitDefender to TrendMicro to ... I can't know who's responsible for messing up your system. Because your system *IS* messed up...
