Thanks a ton for your help Perry! Rolling back my kernel to 4.8.0-36-generic did the trick. Virtualbox is now running Windows 10. Could you tell me one more thing or should I ask in an additional post? I was wondering how to set Virtualbox to see my flash drive.

I would open a new thread with an appropriate title. Nobody would search in a thread titled "Error While Installing Windows 10" for a flash drive
