The other explains what you need to know in regards to anything you want to provide to the project.

This is the closest thing I can find at the moment https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Translating which describes translating but the concept is the same.

This link https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Technical_documentation says to "Please feel free to send documentation patches to the vbox-dev mailing list".

You can always look at the source and feel free to talk to the DEVs to see if there is anything else you can do.

Talk about unbelievable, you hardly went 5 words in that post without another factual blunder. But lets get one thing clear: yes, in my book you very much are expected to have read the manual from cover to cover before you ask a question. That's is why the words were written down in the first place. At the very least you need to have read chapter 1, and then read any chapter dealing with features you use directly. I understand that not everyone does this, but most of those are sensible enough not to highlight the fact by complaining that information is not there when it is, then when called on that to complain that it's in the wrong place... it's really quite galling. I too have had 30 years of dealing with people too lazy to RTFM, I don't need it in my free time as well.

Do you want me to switch labels and become a user? I could create a second account and do just that. My answers would still be the same. Don't get confused and throw "you're a moderator" at me. I am primarily a user, whether you can understand that or not.

If you have anything useful to contribute, please follow Perryg's links. And do some searching, don't expect everything handed to you in a platter. I'm also watching the "Timeline", so I'll be more than happy to see your actual, real contributions to VirtualBox.
