I'm attempting to install Win2K SP4 under Virtualbox on Ubuntu 8.04. I've tried installing from both a CD and from an ISO image file, and in both cases the installation seems to go fine until the very end, at which point the installation seems to restart from the beginning! I've tried removing the CD right before the end, but Windows then asks for the CD to be reinserted! I've gone through this "loop" at least 3 times, but it never seems to end...
Has anyone else seen this sort of problem?
Many thanks,
Wayne

Yes, where you have damaged media, you can get a file copy error which causes the install to restart. Hence the loop.

Glad to oblige, even if it didn't have anything to do with VBox
