NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005) on all virtual machines

I haven't used Virtualbox in about a week, but when I tried to open any virtual machine today I received the error listed below. I am on the latest version of macOS Sierra (10.12.3 16D32) and on Virtualbox version 5.1.14 r112924 (Qt5.6.2)

The virtual machine 'Windows10' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1).

Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)

  • Open "VirtualBox-5.1.14-112924-OSX.dmg".
  • Run "VirtualBox_Uninstall.tool". If there are any errors, please report them.
  • Reboot.
  • Re-install VirtualBox.

Thank you for the quick reply and solution, it worked and I was able to boot up my VM after reinstalling and rebooting.

Sorry for posting in the wrong area, I saw Mac OS X and did not see the guest afterwards, Doh!
