code error -56 (VERR_no_digits)

(first sorry for my bad english )

well, i have an ugly problem with a vbox.

I'm working on ubuntu 8.04, my laptop is a dell xps m1210.
I have to use a professionnal application only running with microsoft access so I used vbox to host a windows XpSP2 on my ubuntu.

This morning, after few days of work without problems (only few freeze when I wrote on shared folders ) I have a good surprise watching this message when i started my XP virtual machine (system32\hal.dll is missing .....)

I tried this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/945380/fr with no success

So i tried another thing. using a RescueCD to boot my VM an backup my data with a ssh connection.

I dowload the last rescueCD and I could access to my data, but i Had no way to save it on my host.

I looked in de Vbox Manual and find a perfect example of how doing this (page 71)

I restart and the FU*£ appears :

Unknown error creating VM.
VBox status code: -56 (VERR_NO_DIGITS).

I looked for with google but nothing .... so please if you have just an idea of how I could access to my virtual File System and backup my database, this will be realy nice.
