Hello,
I'm trying to set up a virtual machine for a class that I am taking but I'm having trouble getting it started. I'm supposed to use an example OS but whenever I start it I get an error message that says I should look in the log to see what went wrong but I don't understand anything that is going on in it. Could I please get help in getting it started. The error message said I should show the log here but it is too big to post. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I've tried versions that are intended for both 64 bit and 32 bit systems. When I try the 64 bit version, I get the error message "VT-x/AMD-V hardware acceleration is not available on your system. Your 64-bit guest will fail to detect a 64-bit CPU and will not be able to boot." even though I have a 64 bit OS and a 64 bit processor.
Thank you very much for your time.

I solved it. I needed to go into my BIOS and enable Hardware Virtualization.
