Hi!
I've been scouring the net searching for a solution, but I can't seem to find anything that works

I'm using VirtualBox 5.0.4
Ubuntu 15.04
on a Windows 7 system (64 bit)

I have a Bridged Adapter set up with these settings:
Name: Intel (R) Ethernet Connetion I217-LM
Adapter Type: Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop (82540EM)
Allow VMs
My ubuntu guest browser works fine, its the terminal i have a problem with.
I can't download anything, can't sudo apt-get, nothing

currently, i'm trying to download java 8
but the command isnt working for me
there is an error in retrieving gpg keys
i even trying retrieving the key directly, but that doesn't help
neither is the openjdk version downloading
ubuntu software center is giving me problem with the gpg keys too
after this i tried the sudo apt-get update and realised that nothing works

i found a few other fixes online, but none of them worked either
changing the [/]var[/]lib[/]apt[/]lists[/] to a temp folder
i also applied the automatic configuration url that my browser is using, system-wide via the network app
so...how do i fix this?

thanks :)

It sounds like you have a very specific problem from the Terminal, not the generic one "can' connect". If you can ping "8.8.8.8" and if you can resolve "forums.virtualbox.org" from the Terminal, then your network is working. You maybe having another problem, which doesn't sound like a VirtualBox problem.
