Hey!

Host windows 8.1 Virtualbox 5.1.8 running a guest Ubuntu 14.04 LTS Desktop. With NAT I have internet with bridged adapter I don't. I have wired connection. On the guest machine it shows wired connection 1 when I click on it, it starts connecting and then says "disconnected you are now offline"

I have tried disabling all firewalls on host machine.

From the guest's Terminal, post the output of the command:
  • ifconfig -a
From the host's Command Prompt, post the output of the commands:
  • ipconfig /all
    "C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxManage" showvminfo "Your_Virtual_Machine_Name"
assuming that you've installed VirtualBox in the default directory. If not, adjust the path accordingly.

Copy/paste the text. I do not really like text-images and a lot of people will not go to 3rd party sites. Copy/paste the text.
