Re: VirtualBox uppgrade
OSX installs are only supported on Apple hardware. See: Important notice regarding Mac OS X as Guest. So, any continued discussion about this will automatically lock the topic. Further discussions will get you a warning. Ignored warning will get you a ban. Just so that we're clear...Nibur wrote:Now want to ad a 3ed one that should have a mac os.
If I understand the question correctly, you are asking if by upgrading to VirtualBox 5.x.x (5.1.12 as of this writing) will affect your VMs. Several things:Nibur wrote:If true is my 2 running servers compability whit 5.0 if i save the image?
- Do not upgrade VirtualBox while the VM is paused or saved. Shut down your VMs completely before upgrading.
- If you have the "VBoxGuestAdditions.iso" in the VM's CD/DVD drive, remove it before upgrading.
- You're running Ubuntu. Only the official VirtualBox distribution is supported, not the one from the package manager (which is an Ubuntu fork). So, download the distribution from https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
