This question might have been asked before, but I still need an answer.
I have Oracle VirtualBox installed on my Windows 10 Professional system and it works quite well.
I would like to know if I can install a second Oracle VirtualBox on the Windows 10 Pro system.
I have other programs that I need to run. Obviously I do not want to run both VirtualBox's programs at the same time. I need to know if I
can install a second VirtualBox and use it and only it on occasion?
Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Respectfully,
Lou Reed

Not a good way to start your post, honestly. If you think that is has been answered before, do you know what you do? You search. If you don't find the answer, then you ask, quoting what you've done for your part. Just saying...Lou Reed wrote:This question might have been asked before, but I still need an answer.
But, the truth of the matter is that you can't. The installer in Windows won't let you install a 2nd instance of VirtualBox. And you definitely can't do it on OSX. I do not know about Linux or Solaris, but I'd bet on no.
The big question is why? You mentioned that "I have other programs that I need to run". What does that mean? What do you want to do? What's the end goal...

Re: Installing a Second VirtualBox
What exactly do you want to do? It could be just a problem with the terminology.
VirtualBox is a program which you install on your machine. You can only install one copy of it.
The virtual machines which you create under VirtualBox are called virtual machines or guests, not virtualboxes. You can indeed have multiple vms (or guests) running under VirtualBox. Just create a new one and install the OS of your choice.
