VB created at Linux, now to use in Vista

Post by thalef »

Hi,

I created a VB with guest XP on host Linux (Open Suse). Now I wanted to use it in Vista too. But when I start it, there is only a blue screen (I can't read it, its too fast away) and the VB starts again.

What can I do?

There is an option under system properties not to autoreboot on BSOD. This will allow you to investigate.

But why not stick to Linux, give up on Vista and use your XP VM when you need to do things the MS way

Arguments about Host OS Aside ;-), I suspect you need to edit your VM and change the IDE controller from PIX4 to PXI3.

Located under "General Settings"
