I dont know if AVG uses VT-X.
Contacted AVG support, and they recommended using the AVG Product remover to remove all traces of AVG and then re-install.
Inserted the registry entry again before removal, just to check
Did it!
Seems to be settings left over from a previous installation, which is then deleted by the remover.
