Failure to create Windows 7 MV guest under Oracle Linux 7.3

My first attempt to create a Windows 7 virtual machine inside an Oracle Linux 7.3 host failed when the Windows installation hung. I suspect it is because I am using OEM Windows installation/recovery disks customized for my (Lenovo T40s) laptop. I tried downloading a 'generic' Windows 7 installation image from Microsoft dot com, but the product ID retrieved from my Registry by Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder didn't work.
Got advice?

But in any event, OEM disks are tailored to the specific hardware that came with the disk (or vice versa). That hardware is not the same as the hardware of a VM, that's why the failure. I have no clue what the Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is. Care to fill us in? Or at least describe what your end goal is?

Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is a tool that recovers your product keys from the Windows registry when you have lost your discs, boxes and/or labels. I was hoping to use the keys found by that tool to be able to download a generic Windows 7 installation image from microsoft dot com, but that failed.

confirms what I suspected about the OEM disks, which brings me back to square one.
My end goal is to successfully install a Windows 7 virtual machine guest inside an Oracle Linux host. Even though I have a licence to Windows 7, I don't have the media to do this.
Yes, in another post I described a challenge I am having with the inverse configuration: Linux guest VM inside Windows 7 host. I am experimenting with VirtualBox in different configurations using different hard drives on the same machine.
Thanks and Cheers
