VBox additions in Kali and Ubuntu

Hi!
I've installed Virtualbox on my kali linux 2.0 machine and i've created an Ubuntu 16.04 (64 bit) guest machine in there.
I've installed Vbox guest additions but it seems they doesn't work.
I tried to use "drag and drop" option but when i do a drag and drop nothing happens.
I tried to share a folder but i can't mount it, what terminal shows is:

/sbin/mount.vboxsf: mounting failed with the error: No such file or directory

The only thing that works is copy and paste from guest to host.
I think vbox additions 5.1.10 (the version i'm using) are bugged, is there a way to downgrade them or install an old version?

Post the guests log file ( as an attachment ). Right click on the guest in the Main Manager then click show log. Save and post as an attachment. Compress if it is too large to post.

Where exactly did you get your version of VirtualBox from and how did you install it?
Also why are you running as root?

I installed it via terminal:

 apt-get install virtualbox

I'm runnig linux as root because Kali has only root user (it is a pentesting linux distribution).
colud it be a problem?

Yes you have two problems. You are running the distro fork which we do not support and would need to contact kali for your issues.
As for running as root you can do this but I do not personally support it because of security issues. Someone else may though.
