I need to clone multiple VMs using diffs/links, all from one base VHD. One clone works fine. But trying to do it again gives an error, and it corrupts the base VM and also the VHD. I reported this bug, but does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this for now? I'd do the workaround of copying the base VHD and making 5 copies and not doing a diff/link, but of course it kills my disk space.
Also, I want to specify where the diff disk is stored, but the Windows UI doesn't give the option. Is there a way to move the diff drive to the location of my choice after cloning? Again, I reported this as a suggestion, since creating a new disk when creating a new VM gives you the choice of where to store the disk.
Thanks.

What are you trying to do? What's the end goal?
