Are there any products from VBox line that does app virtualization?

For example: ThinApps or Turbo Studio (Spoon)
Second Question:
If I change the virtualbox source code (for personal use only), that resembles the software listed above
Is it possible to virtualize windows intrinsic function like the theme service,
The problem I encountered using the above software is I can't get theme service to run standalone inside the virtual application.
If services like the theme service is intrinsic (started right before any shells, and one copy can exist also must be queried thru COM),
how can I make a virtualized theme service inside a VA.
I want to create a VA that is self-contained (like windows 7 itself with the shell), but can access files in the host machine.
How can I make it happen? I don't really want to use raw disks, because they take up hard disk and ram space.
Thanks
Jack
