I have a disability, and after submitting an article to a magazine for disabled people, I have been asked to write a monthly article on the latest communication apps for people with disabilities.
I have a Windows Phone, and the Store doesn't have many apps at all for the disabled. I got it in September (long before I was asked to write the article). So, to test out the apps, I downloaded Android in a virtual machine. Whilst this is okay, it is often slow, and a bit troublesome.
The VM is set up with 2GB RAM and the host is a laptop AMD Dual-Core L310 with 4GB RAM.
It does the same on my desktop but this time the host is an AMD A4 Quad-Core.
Any suggestions on how to speed it up? Nothing happens when I try and install Guest Additions on the Android VM.

Re: Testing Android apps on a VM
- Android is not a supported guest, hence no Guest Additions. Even some supported guests do not have GAs available.
- Where did you get your Android VM from?
- What's your definition of slow? Can you quantify it? "It feels slow" for example, would be an answer that would require more explanation.
- We need to see a VBox.log from the VM. Start it up, shut it down completely, right-click in the VirtualBox Manager, Show Log, zip it and attach it to your response with the rest of the answers.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

He was suggesting that you use a different product. Google it.
