Windows Me in non-english language

Hello, first post here.

Information:
Host OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit
Guest OS: Windows Me
VirtualBox: 5.1.10 r112026
CPU: Intel Q9550
Ram: 4GB

I want to run my Windows Me guest in Greek language but it doesn't work.

My Host Windows 10 OS is in Greek, my language for non-unicode applications is set to Greek in the control panel (if that can help)
In the guest OS (Windows Me), I installed the Multilanguage Support from Add/Remove Programs -> Windows Setup tab. My regional and language settings are correct. I used an english ISO to install the OS

I checked some of the other languages included in the Multilanguage Support (Bulgarian, Serbian, Russian) and non-of them appear correctly, basically they are all in gibberish. I added the keyboards and I can change language but when I type something it appears broken. But the languages are installed and I can select them.

So the question is, can I use a non-english language in the guest OS?
I want to use a very old application on the guest machine that requires Win 95/98/Me and doesn't work in XP and above, the program has an interface in Greek, which means I can't read any of the options/settings now, it's all in gibberish. I chose Win Me because it was the most recent OS.

Thank you for the help!

So, it's all not Greek to you? 8)

I'm afraid this is not a Windows ME support site. The languages offered by an OS is entirely a matter for the OS and nothing to do with the hardware. VirtualBox is of course a hardware emulator and therefore the guest language pack is irrelevant to it as well. I suggest that you Google for additional language packs for ME.

Yes -- but as mpack explained, that is entirely a matter of the guest OS. The virtual PC platform that VirtualBox emulates is entirely language agnostic. Basically, VirtualBox supports non-English languages as much as a standard OEM PC does.

Thanks for the replies.
I used Win Me back in 2000 and had no issues with languages, that's why I thought it had something to do with Virtual Box and not Win Me.
I installed XP on another virtual machine and it works very well, apparently I can also run the program I wanted on XP so all is fine.
Good thing I won't have to see Win Me again :P
