VM in an external device, problem with Hardware acceleration VT

Post by PaulLag »

HI there,

I am connecting to the problem I presented with this post
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=80908

I have created a VM in an external device

Went to settings, and I changed
C:\users\user name\Virtual Box VMS (1)
in the folder of the external device
F:\Virtual Box

I created the VM with W7 64 bit

but

When I try to start this VM with oracle virtual box I got following error (please note that the system where the VM is running is a W7 64bit)

Hardware acceleration VT-x/AMD-V is enabled, but it is not working
64 bit guest won’t detect a 64bit CPU and therefore would not start.
Make sure of having enabled correctly VT-x/AMD-V in host computer BIOS.

Please could you help me in this issue ?

Please go thoroughly through the FAQ: I have a 64bit host, but can't install 64bit guests.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
