Hello.
I know it can be done through/via its complex command line, but it has been years. Shouldn't its GUI have the boot from USB devices by now like for
http://store.steampowered.com/steamos/buildyourown ?
Thank you in advance.

It has. Since version 5.1. You got to boot a client that understands and boots from EFI. It's still new and largely untested. I don't know if the USB you point to is made to do that, you've got to test it on your own.

Well, it says "...
Unzip the SteamOS.zip file to a blank, FAT32-formatted USB stick. Make sure to use an MBR partition.
Put the USB stick in your target machine. Boot your machine and tell the BIOS to boot off the stick. (usually something like F8, F11, or F12 will bring up the BIOS boot menu).
Make sure you select the UEFI entry, it may look something like "UEFI: Patriot Memory PMAP". If there is no UEFI entry, you may need to enable UEFI support in your BIOS setup.
Selected "Expert install" from the menu.
..."
So, I connected the 64 GB USB flash drive to the host and booted up a brand new VM, but F12 doesn't see that drive like on host. What's the hot key to access VM's CMOS/BIOS to look for the UEFI stuff?
