Your "VirtualBox.xml" file has been corrupted. Rename the "VirtualBox.xml-prev" file to "VirtualBox.xml".

It said (there already is a VirtualBox.xml) so I'm COMPLETELY deleting VB & re-installing it

GREAT!!!! now when i install win 7, here's what I got:

Of course there would be an existing .xml file (the corrupt one)! You needed to rename or delete it before you renamed the backup copy to replace it.

Deleting VirtualBox was the least helpful thing you could do. That does not delete the virtual machines. It simply deletes the program.
