Virtual Box 5.x causes Epson Scanner to Fail Follow-up

A couple of times in the past I requested assistance due to Windows 10 Epson scanner software failing after the install of Virtual Box 5.0 on my Windows 10 desktop PC.

I found that after installing Virtual Box 5.x and I access the Epson AIO printer scanner via a USB cable, rather than via a network connection, the Epson scanner software works without problems. Fortunately, my other PCs do not run Virtual Box, so they are able to scan without problems when accessing the Epson AIO printer scanner via the network.

Of course Epson says it’s not their fault and Oracle never responded.

Well, certainly no one else stands a chance of finding out why their software doesn't work.
