Run a Dual Monitor

Post by RevD »

I'm attempting to set up a dual monitor for our church media computer. We utilize the Mac to run our sound system software but need windows to run our projection software (song show plus). My host computer is Mac and guest is Windows 7. I select the option for 2 monitors in the settings but am do not see the extended monitor in windows. I need to have an extended monitor option for the projector and a control monitor for the program (much like powerpoint). Can anyone offer directives to set this up?

Thanks!

This is a "Windows guest" problem, so I'm going to move it from the "OS X Hosts".

Are you running the guest in full screen perhaps? If so, do not until you configure your virtual monitors.

Open the Windows Control Panel and make sure that you have two monitors identified. After that, you've got to play with the "Extend" or "Mirror" options for the monitors and their resolutions.

Thanks for the response and sorry for the wrong category.

I didn't use the full screen and in the windows settings I don't see the 2 monitors.
