When I start up one VM my battery consumption is very low and good but when I start up two to four VM's my MacBook pro begins to heat up, this does not happen on other virtual platforms that I have on my Mac book

- You gave no numbers or concrete data, so we can only guess.
- What does 'top' show?
- What are your guests?
- What are their respective activity monitors show at the time? Windows are notorious for trying to update themselves causing CPU power to mount.
- How many CPUs do you have? How many have you allocated to each VM?
- How much RAM do you have available? How much RAM have you allocated to each VM?
