Re: Xubuntu 16.10 very slow
AFAIK the audio lag has been known for a while and is just not that high a priority at the moment. I have seen and reported this for a while. I believe this happened during the time when Intel HD audio was ported to Linux guest, correct me if this is wrong. There is exactly a .5 sec lag between the audio and video on any and all guests whether old or new.

Except for the audio issues and as it turns out the buggy 4.8.* kernels I'm not aware of any so far. But I haven't used it much. I'll let you know.

The Windows 10 guests audio problem is more than just a lag, It goes completely out of sync and the tempo is too fast. In my Windows 7 guest the audio didn't lag previously but now it does, .5 sounds right. It also starts to generate some kind of noise while audio is playing. It's not a job, it's an adventure.

Well the newest Windows guest I have to test is Windows-7. Why you may ask I don't have any newer? I don't want to.
I did have some issues with audio in Windows-7 guest other than the lag but fixed that some time ago. I do not remember how to tell you the truth.

Well, my Windows 7 guest was fine up until 5.1.8 when they added the audio cache to the OSX version. Now, not so much.
You do know I don't do anything important with any guests so I suppose it shouldn't matter. I would just like to see VB work correctly on OSX hosts. Not works somewhat as long as you don't use this feature or that feature or only use this guest etc.
